Reasons to book Sarah as your next speaker

  • International experience

As a Brit who has now lived in Singapore for fourteen years, I work with customers across the world. I’m used to working across multiple cultures and factoring in cultural differences. This is especially important as my expertise focuses on experiencing and expressing difficult emotions, and cultural expectations of emotion vary quite dramatically. So far, I’ve spoken to audiences in 25 countries, I’m used to working with translators and I frequently deliver in different time zones for virtual keynotes.

  • Experienced online speaker

Even before the pandemic, my work was a mix of in-person and online delivery. As a result, as well as being comfortable on a stage, I’m an experienced online speaker. I have a great setup in my home office for virtual keynotes: you can read more about that in my Event Success Guide.

  • I have a doctorate in emotional intelligence

People can be sceptical about the benefits of working with difficult emotions, or see emotions as something ‘soft and fluffy’. My academic background gives me credibility and helps the audience to understand how deeply emotions impact us all. All my audience takeaways are built on evidence-based research from neuroscience and psychology. I’m aware that most people aren’t passionate fans of research like I am, so my keynotes help audiences frame research findings in real-life contexts through relatable stories.

  • Customised keynotes for your audience

Through in-depth discovery calls before your event, I discover more about your people, and your business mission and vision. This allows me to deliver the most relevant content for your audience.

  • Make your life easier

I understand how busy you are and how stressful it can be to organize an event. I endeavour to make your life easier, from promptly responding to your messages and/or calls, to attending meetings, rehearsals or tech checks to ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. I follow efficient processes to guide you from your initial enquiry all the way through to your event and beyond, saving everyone time and minimising email threads. I make my own travel arrangements to save you time and energy, and package travel and expenses costs with my speaking fee to keep things simple.

  • Need a female speaker?

Research has shown that gender diversity on stages is still an issue, as almost two-thirds of speakers globally are men. As a female speaker, I help to diversify your stage and better reflect the gender balance of your audience.

  • I can help promote your event

I’m always keen to partner with you to make your event a success. If you’d like a short teaser video for your audience ahead of your event, just let me know. I can promote your event on social media, and write an article for your newsletter to tie in with your event theme.

  • Looking for additional value and learning?

I’m a seasoned panellist and happy to join a panel during your event. If you’re keen to build on your audience’s keynote insights and learning, I also offer follow-up workshops. These are ideal for organisations looking to build on inspiration from my keynote to create a learning program for longer-lasting change.
