Evidence-Based
Speaker Expertise

Real credentials. Practical application. Built for leaders who operate where the stakes are highest.

Pressure travels through leaders.

In high-stakes industries, the way leaders respond to pressure shapes how decisions are made, how teams communicate, and how organisations perform. That is why leadership conferences increasingly look for speakers whose work is grounded in more than experience or opinion.

My keynotes on Leadership Under Pressure are built on three areas of expertise:

  • academic research

  • clinical training

  • credentialed coaching

Together, they shape how I help leaders recognise their reactions under pressure and respond with clarity and intention.

Doctorate in Emotional Intelligence

My doctoral research focused on an emotional intelligence intervention I designed and tested to support change.

Three findings from that research continue to inform everything I do today.

The environment matters.
Emotional intelligence does not exist in isolation. Leaders need support that reflects the real conditions they work in, including the pressures, expectations, and demands surrounding them.

Awareness comes first.
Leaders must be able to recognise and name what they are experiencing before they can regulate it. Awareness is the starting point for every meaningful leadership shift.

Emotional intelligence can be learned.
These capabilities are not personality traits. They are skills that can be developed, practised, and embedded into how a leader thinks, decides, and leads.

This insight forms the foundation of the Conscious Leadership Advantage.

My doctoral training also developed my ability to evaluate research claims rigorously. Leadership development is full of bold promises. I only share frameworks and strategies that are supported by credible evidence.

Doctorate in Emotional Intelligence

College of Allied Educators, Singapore

This training provided a deep, practical understanding of how people think, feel, and behave under stress. It means I understand pressure not just as a concept to study, but as a human experience leaders must navigate.

That perspective sits at the heart of how I design my keynotes and connect with the leaders in the room. I translate complex psychological ideas into practical tools leaders can apply immediately, when the pressure is on and the stakes are real.

ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC)

The ICF is the world’s leading professional coaching organisation. The ACC credential reflects a recognised standard of coaching competence, ethics, and professional practice.

For leaders participating in the Conscious Leadership Playbook programme, this matters. Optional group coaching sessions are delivered according to ICF standards, ensuring leaders receive a structured and ethically grounded coaching experience alongside the masterclass content.

What This Means for Your Event

The combination of a doctorate in emotional intelligence, counselling psychology training, and ICF-credentialed coaching is relatively rare in the leadership development space.

For event organisers whose audiences come from financial services, law, and insurance, that depth matters.

Those leaders are experienced, intelligent, and often sceptical of leadership content that feels superficial. Evidence-based work earns credibility quickly. Practical tools ensure that insight turns into behaviour change.

When leaders learn to recognise and regulate their responses under pressure, the results show up in stronger retention, deeper engagement, and improved performance.

Pressure travels through leaders.

When leaders develop the ability to contain it, regulate it, and lead through it with intention, the effects ripple through teams and organisations.

That is the Conscious Leadership Advantage — built on expertise that earns the right to be in the room.
